2026 EDITION (instant PDF download)
The 2026 Edition of The Catapult Papers is a recalibration of the series. Based on analysis of the official SEAG sample papers, and feedback from students who have sat the official exams since 2023, the difficulty level of these practice tests is now aligned more closely to what your child should expect in November 2026. The series slowly and subtly increases in difficulty level from Test 1 through to Test 20. Every single paper is suited to P7 students.
Every test has been written in the style and format of the Northern Ireland post-primary assessment tests (SEAG).
Each colourful test includes 56 questions (28 English and 28 Maths). As per the SEAG format, 44 of these questions are multiple-choice; 12 are free-response. All tests have been written by Trevor Veale, full-time tutor at Catapult and former Key Stage 2 teacher.
Separate sheets for students to record their answers are also provided, as per the SEAG format.
The Catapult Papers include answers pages in which explanations are provided for every single question: a priceless resource for parents.
In this download you will receive:
10 practice papers
10 student answer sheets
10 answers & explanations sheets for parents
You will also receive a folder containing greyscale versions of these papers, should you wish to print any copies and save on ink.
